Builds

• Every build starts with a written build plan: the pages, the features, what you are supplying, the date and the fixed price. Work starts when you have said yes to it.
• Unless the build plan says otherwise, half the price is paid before we start and the rest when the site goes live.
• Anything on the plan is included. Anything not on the plan is priced first, and only added if you agree in writing. Small tweaks along the way are not charged.
• If a build stalls for more than 60 days because we are waiting on you, we can invoice for the work done so far.

Care plans

• Care plans are paid monthly in advance. There is no minimum term.
• Cancel whenever you like. The plan runs to the end of the month you have already paid for.
• You can move up or down a plan. The change takes effect on your next billing date.
• Included change time and blog posts are per month and do not roll over.
• If an invoice is more than 30 days overdue we will warn you, and after a further 14 days we may suspend the site until it is paid. We would much rather have a conversation first.

AI credits

• Credits in your plan are added each time the plan renews. Credits you buy are added straight away.
• Credits do not expire while your account is open. They are not refundable, and they cannot be swapped for cash.
• AI writes quickly but it can get things wrong. Read what it writes before you publish it. What goes on your site is your call.

Domains

• Domains we buy for you are registered in our registrar account. That is how we make sure renewals are never missed.
• Ask us to release a domain to you or to anyone else and we will, free of charge and without delay, as long as the domain itself is paid up.
• Unusual endings are cost plus a fixed fee, quoted before we buy. Premium domains are paid for in full before we buy them.

Your content and our code

• Your words, photos, logo, products and customer data are yours.
• The code that runs your site is ours, and you can use it for as long as we host the site.
• If you leave, we export all of your content and hand it over, free of charge.
• You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us, photos included.

Hosting

• We keep your site patched, backed up nightly and watched around the clock. We aim to keep it online all the time, but no host can promise that nothing will ever go wrong, and we do not.
• Backups are kept for 30 days. They are there for disasters, so keep your own copies of anything precious.
• Nothing illegal, no spam and nothing that puts the server or other customers at risk. If a site does, we can take it offline and will tell you why.

Data we handle for you

When your site collects information from your visitors, such as enquiries, bookings or orders, you are the controller and we are your processor. We only use that information to run your site, we keep it confidential and secure, we only use the suppliers named in our privacy notice, we help you answer any requests from people about their data, we tell you without delay if something goes wrong, and we delete or hand it back when you leave.

If things go wrong

If something we built does not work, we fix it free. Beyond that, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months, and we are not responsible for lost profits or lost business. Nothing here limits anything the law says cannot be limited.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If we change them we will tell existing customers by email at least 30 days before the change applies.
